When Linda’s longtime clients found a charming cottage in the Ford Field & River Club near Savannah, Georgia, she hopped on a jet plane and gave the interiors a fresh, contemporary look with a zesty color palette, lighthearted patterns and a delightful mix of antiques, original art and comfy furnishings—including a custom puzzle table—illuminated by a sparkling vintage Murano chandelier.

Linda’s a California girl at heart, so when she and her husband Dave renovated their mid-century Edina rambler with Kristine Anderson and Tammy Angaran of PKA Architecture, they added a fabulous California-style outdoor aerie for alfresco entertaining and working from home in singular Engler Studio style!

Inspired by the relaxed elegance of the Santa Barbara lifestyle, the Engler Studio team collaborated with Gabriel Keller and Bob LeMoine of PKA Architecture, Welch Forsman Associates, and Otto Painting Design to infuse this Edina home with easy flow, luminous natural light and abundant joie de vivre.

ENGLER STUDIO wins four first place ASID MN awards
Our award-winning projects were featured in the spring issue of Mpls.St.Paul Home & Design.
When the homeowners acquired a classic lake home, they commissioned Engler Studio, PKA Architecture and Streeter & Associates to untangle a mish-mash of additions and other suspect remodeling projects, expand lake views, merge the inside and outside—and make it all look effortless! Challenged to create interiors that were charming, collected, unexpected and other compelling attributes, Linda Engler and Jenn Taft envisioned an intriguing balance of new and old, traditional and modern, organic and refined, masculine and feminine. Starting with a quiet, neutral shell, Linda and Jenn used a limited palette of patterns and colors enlivened with splashes of wit and whimsy. Guided by Engler Studio's signature mix mentality, they combined vintage Murano glass chandeliers with hefty industrial light fixtures and nautical accoutrements and custom furnishings including a flock of modern chairs lacquered in electric yellow, three tables and one porch swing. Mixing antiques from northern Minnesota with original contemporary art and photography and colorful rugs, Linda and Jenn gave the house a singular, modern vibe.
